According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), a sector of the U.S. Department of Education, 85 percent of Black students lack proficiency in reading skills.

We will assess each child individually and design a program based on your child's needs.

Initial Assessment fee: $40

Ongoing sessions: $25 p/h

Blue Rose Academy was founded by Kenydra "Kiki" Christopher, Certified Recreational Therapist. Blue Rose Academy was born shortly after the passing of Kiki's grandmother in May of 2022 who was a teacher and was passionate about education. We currently offer 2 programs for children and families in our community. Initiative to Swim and Initiative to Read. We target swim training for all kids ages 6 month and up. We encourage adults to learn to swim no matter the age. Due to the poor literacy rates in our community we strive to improve reading abilities for children and adults. All ages are welcomed.
